My Life....

I stayed in a 10k sq ft bungalow...a 3 storey penthouse...a 1 room flat...a 5 room flat and probably everything in between....

I studied in a gov. school in Singapore...I studied in a American school in Malaysia...I studied juz about all the subjects I can take including music...econ...math...chem...physic...acoustic...decibel...art...different languages...among many others....

Yet I feel that I've not achieve anything at all....

Dream Theater

I've been pondering whats so special about DT anyway? I've been a fan of DT for almost 20 years...they write songs that are like never on MTV nor on the radio but yet...I'm still very much attracted to their style of music...yet I've friends who tells me dude man you listen to some really weird shit...and I'm like whats wrong with fusion jazz or prog rock or hard bop? I dun know maybe I'm juz different.....

Mixdown

Juz completed 2 mixdowns...but I'm not really happy with the results :( I think I need more time to do the mixdowns again...something is really boomy but I can't figure out if its the guitar or the bass gonna need more time... my ears are tired...my eyes are tired from staring at Pro Tools...

Man I gotta get a life!!!

On a side note, I juz realize that all of my friends ain't using ICQ no more...they are all shifting over to MSN...juz feels so weird cuz I started out as a ICQ user....man I feel so old skool...not sure y I'm still using Trillian since I dun really need it and I can get more features outta MSN....

Finally...the god damn CD is out in Singapore...I was doing some mixdown and I felt really tired and thought that I should take a walk or something and I ended up goin to the mall close by and saw Score....checking the CD out rite now....


Update...

Man this CD is gonna last for me like at least 2 weeks cuz the songs are so long and with such intricate arrangements, I'm gonna need a couple of weeks to absorb everything in!!!! \w/ \w/ \w/

On a side note I think James is singing like a lot higher than usual...gotta make some comparasion....can't base it on my memory since our aural recall last for like maybe 10 mins or something ......

hmm...how in the world do you mix a CD like that? A song clockin in at 41 mins and 22 sec with a orchestra and a full band....Mike Portnoy's drum kit is probably taking up like 15 inputs....insane...insane...insane

oh man...fuck yeah...everytime I go to his website I'm visually and sonicly treated to an amazing performance by this man...

man check out this new video on Bonamassa TV...fucking out of the world tone and emotion...man gotta get this CD but its goona cost me like 55 bucks to get the CD locally...maybe I should import it from the states...

On a side note...I fucking disappointed that Dream Theater's new album is not yet out in Singapore yet....

Christ Illusion

Man...fuck juz got back from the Studio and I was checking out Slayer's brand new album via NS10...man they sound fucking amazing...the tone is fucking huge...straight in ur muthafuckin face raw power and anger

The end of the recording

After like 1 month of recording, today will be the last day...will be doing vocals + bass personally I feel like we've been draggin this way too long...I"m a fast pace kind of a guy...go in do it once do it good and end it :) but still its been a very entertaining month for me though. :)

Anyway I'll be entering the studio once again soon (hopefully next week) to record and experiment with a very awesome guitarist from Singapore!!!

More details to come once I finalize everything...

Hmm I'm wondering if I should go for the Slayer and Malmseen concert...I'm not a super big fan of Malmsteen but still he is a legend in his own rite and as for Slayer what more need I say...one of the heaviest muthafuckin metal bands of all time....they will fuckin blow Singapore away...totally destory the place \w/ \w/ \w/

Oh man...I gotta control my emotions better...I'm like getting another attack again...as I grow to know myself better I realize that emotion is a very powerful thing and I can control how things turn out...pain!!!
